The MWSC was well represented at the Sun Peaks Nancy Greene Festival with 38 athletes in attendance! Our team was welcomed by consecutive mornings of light dustings of fresh snow and sunshine. Temperatures were quite comfortable and athletes had the opportunity to ski many different environments around the hill including: Dual Slalom, Moguls, Speed Trap, Skills Course, Obstacle Course and a Jump Challenge. A team favourite was the Ski Cross Track where athletes chased down their friends and tried to catch their coaches and parents! Athletes had the opportunity to meet the legendary Nancy Greene and many returned home with an autographed helmet! Thank you to the coaches, parents and athletes that made this festival such a blast and so memorable. Top 10 athletes in a Dual Glalom (combined runs) U12 were recognized in an awards ceremony including:
Rebecca Good - 6th (2013 female)
Colin Armstrong - 7th (2013 male)
Other top 10 finishes included:
Anghus Knight - 8th (2015 male)
Ian Armstrong - 10th (2015 male)
